in New Plymouth, New Zealand.

Welcome to my website. I’m a landscape photographer and specialise in landscape astrophotography.

I love getting out into nature and I’m passionate about capturing and sharing incredible moments and breathtaking scenes that display the beauty of the natural world we live in.

While I’ve always had an interest in photography, I only really started properly getting into it in 2020 when I got my first DSLR camera, although I’d already been using one for a few months through the local astronomy club (which is how I got into photography).

In 2022 one of my images was awarded in the “Milky Way Photographer of the Year” competition - an international competition that is picked up by media around the world as well as NZ (Kiwi Milky Way images named among world’s best in astrophotography competition - NZ Herald) and local media (New Plymouth's Larsen a rising star in the world of astrophotography | Stuff.co.nz).

In 2023 several of my images were shortlisted in the Artistic / Nightscape section of the NZ Astrophotography competition.

Photography started for me as a hobby but has grown into a small side business where I make a bit of money from print sales and my annual calendars (which I started doing for 2022, and each year has grown in quantity and quality).
